Vanessa Montañez

Vanessa has been in residential lending for over twenty years.  She has worked for several lending institutions such as Countrywide Home Loans, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase and East West Bank. She works for On Q Financial where she oversees the West Region as a Business Development Manager and the Multicultural lending platform. Part of her responsibilities is the overall strategic plan and execution of increasing mortgage production in existing territories and reaching underserved borrowers at On Q Financial. Previously was the Regional Business Development Manager for JPM Chase.  In this capacity, she oversaw the business development, CRA, REO, Short Sales, and Builder/Condo in California.  For the last fifteen years, she has been managing loan officers, sales managers, and processors.  Vanessa actively works in the field to generate business and design appropriate strategies to penetrate those markets and achieve sales targets more deeply.

She is a coach, trainer, and motivator and applied those principals and taught a class for emerging markets with California Association of Realtors (CAR) and various boards.

Vanessa believes in educating her clients in the American Dream of Home Ownership and investments.  She is active with non-profits and community outreach in homeownership.  That is why Vanessa currently serves as a Board of Director and Co-Chair for NAWRB (National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses) and NDILC (NAWRB Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council).   She is also a proud member of Arcadia Association of Realtors, NAHREP, NAREB and AREAA, Word-Spinners Toastmaster.  She has been in leadership roles at NAHREP as President of the Los Angeles Chapter and was a national board member. She is committed leader who believes and lives the American dream.

Vanessa Montañez was nominated for the 2009 and 2011 Business Woman of the year award for the National Latina Business Woman Association for her commitment to finance.   She has also been seen on Univision, TV Azteca and local radio shows regarding lending and housing and is asked to speak on panels.

Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Pepperdine University and currently completing her doctorate in executive leadership from the University of Charleston.
